In 2026, geopolitics no longer makes sense. The US buying Russian energy after signing a sanctions bill to go after nations buying Russian energy. Or, Europe seeking to decouple from Russian energy but still buying oil through Russian ports. There is only one way to describe all of this - what I call “stupid geopolitics.” Governments are making decisions that contradict themselves or void their own deals and ideas, creating a new status quo of irrational behavior.
